— General Rules

If the following rules are not respected, your project may receive hour reductions or be rejected by our team, so please read carefully:

• Once you purchase the grant from the shop, you must wait for your HCB grant card to be issued. Refunds are not possible, so do not purchase anything out of pocket (unless explicitly requested by a staff member) before receiving the grant.
• As with every YSWS program, the project must be properly tracked using Hackatime or journaling. Any activity logged before the official start of the event will not be counted.
• No fraud*, no double-dipping with other Hack Club programs, and no excessive use of AI.

• Github opensource page with frequent commits (every 30min - 1h)
• Tracking system mandatory
• Live Demo working
• A final proof (screenshot / short video / whatever) to show the improvement

Tracking System:

• Software → Track time with Hackatime (if you have problems setting it up, ask for help in the Slack channel)
• Hardware → Track time with journaling system
• Art → Track time with any method you prefer.
  NOTE: You can work on art for up to 10% of your total hours (e.g., out of 75 project hours, only 7.5 can be labeled as art).

*Fraud Meaning:

Don't cheat the time tracking system. No bots, no fake key presses, no UI manipulation. If you do, you'll be banned from Hackatime and other participating YSWS / events / programs.
